Elk Grove Pedestrian Struck and Killed at Hampton Oak Drive

ELK GROVE, CA (November 4, 2022) – Early in the morning on Wednesday in Elk Grove, an elderly pedestrian was struck and killed. The November 2 crash occurred where Canyon View Drive and Hampton Oak Drive intersect.

The time was roughly 7:00 a.m., Elk Grove Police said.

Police allege the pedestrian was walking in the roadway, and a vehicle–described as a Nissan Altima–struck him.

Responders worked to help the victim, though he died from the injuries he suffered.

He was identified only as 72 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.

The Nissan’s driver remained and the crash site and cooperated with investigators. The identity of the person, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not also been reported.

Investigators are working to understand the crash, and they are continuing to collect details and information.
