LOS ANGELES, CA (November 17, 2022) – Bong Lee was identified as the 83-year-old woman who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles on Monday. The November 14 crash occurred on Third Street, close to where Western Avenue is located.
The time was roughly 6:00 a.m., reports say.
According to authorities, Lee was walking across the street, and a vehicle–described as a BMW, dark in color–which had been traveling east, struck her.
The driver did not stop to help Lee, but fled the crash site.
Responders transported Lee to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Investigators with the Los Angeles Police Department are continuing their work to find the suspect hit-and-run driver.
